A suggested solution: If an outside party of the forum lists unwanted/slanderous postings, perhaps if everyone would simply ignore them and not respond, the outside party would cease receiving any cheap thrills from his/her actions.
As a fairly new reader of the forum, it appears your continued responses are "fueling" and "perpetuating" that behavior.
Perhaps you guys & gals that have been around awhile and recognize the offender(s) can simply type in a code, for example, "D R" (Don't Respond) to alert us newbies and everyone else not to respond.
Just a thought...but maybe you've tried this already.
